New 06 is fast and quite. Not like the 89.



I like the Banks reputation but it seems there is some bad blood. Anyone have pros and cons. Banks vs Edge. Or other sugestions.
 
Banks makes good quality but expensive stuff. The only down side (besides price) is they sometimes greatly exagerate power increases. This has been confirmed by many folks on this board.

Lets' put it like this. When I was having problems with my EDGE box. . (Only because the '05 ecm code was new and no one had it figured completely out) No less than the president of EDGE would call me to work through the problems, since fixed.



When I had an issue with my TST box, they had an engineer call me right away.



Both of these companies customer service are beyond reproach...



I have NEVER heard of Gale Banks calling a customer to work things out. In fact, that is the biggest knock against Banks... Their customer service... I will buy a Banks Technicooler, but not a Banks box...
 
These are my thoughts after having both:



TST - Raw power that can and will harm the truck if not modified

EDGE - smooth and much more features with the attitude



But when the smoke clears, I'll take my boring display and the crazy HP gain of the TST powermax...

Although for 04. 5+, the HOT edge seems to awesome as well.



I say buy them both and test, then ebay the other :)



EDIT: BTW - I do like that when I call TST, I can talk to the head honcho himself, Mark Chapple... Just kinda nice I think

It won't be long and you won't have to worry about the boring display and you can keep your TST box! :-laf
 
I just put the TST on my truck with twins program and am completely blown away. This truck is a monster now. I'm trying to be easy with it until I can supply more fuel. Clutch is an absolute must as is turbo upgrade. With the EGT/Boost limits, it keeps me in check when I lose self control;) It seems to run fairly cool though, which surprises me, on 3/1 with boost limit off and EGT set at 1500 degrees, I'll flirt with 1300 but never go over that. I have an HTB2, 80hp injectors, ATS exhaust manifold, AFE with torque tube, cat free stock exhaust with a magnaflow stainless clamped in, and SBC con FE clutch and of course the TST. In the 2 weeks I have had the box on, I've noticed my rear tires wearing at an extreme rate:)

Spy Photos..... check screen shots 4 and 5 on the left hand column. I think you can derive the info from that!

How do I get the HOT juice as opposed to the regular juice? I dont see it advertised. Does anyone offfer a pdr discount. I will most likely be buying the HOT juice and the attitude. Unless Quad tells us more about the new quadzilla!!!!!!
