I have an Auto Trans but, My "Give your left foot something to do" guys swear by these guys: http://www.southbendclutch.com/

I'd say their CON FE or a Street Double Disc is the hot set up for this application. The guys at SBC will be more than happy to talk to buddy and help him find an installer. Best of luck, Moose00

loving my zoom zvt. all the sbc guys said it would not hold the power ,boy were they wrong. the sbc does not even compare to the low pedal effort of the stock like zvt either.

How much power do you run through the clutch? Do you do any towing with it?

Yes we tow with it about once a week or so! Usually a concrete pump or a trachoe on a 20 foot trailer. What do u mean by, how much power do I run through the clutch? We do a lot of playin though!

I have a Con OFE by South Bend...

I haven't slipped it yet. I've tried, as I switched from a dual disc. The pedal seems to me lighter than stock.

You might want to consider the shaft ugrade at the HP.

I'm wondering why you would do this. I haven't seen anyone really talking about this as a problem. Is this for the pullers and drag racers?

He said towing, racing, etc. I assumed he meant some sledpulling too. I just am the guy that tries to do things once and make them bulletproof. I may spend a little more for the insurance, but with 2 kids, wife, full time job, house remodel, I would prefer to spend it up front than being under my truck again because i didn't do it the first time.

He might be ok, but if he is beating the snot out of the truck then he might want to do it. Just throwing it out there for him to consider.

I don't disagree with you when you are pulling or racing. I just wanted to make sure I wouldn't need one. I don't race or pull a sled.

Just always seems more power is the key. I started out with just an edge comp with no wire tap on my 01. Look at the signature now.

I ordered the SB CON OFE single disc. According to the salesman i talked to he said if i was going to go over 550 hp to the rearwheels. I would want to consider a dual disc and with the nv4500 5spd i would want to put the bigger input shaft in. He said if it was the nv5600 6spd there is no need for a bigger input shaft.

South Bend Clutch is the only way to go in my book.

#1 in Customer service, #1 in quality, #1 in Warranty.

Can't go wrong, IMO.

I'll second that. You couldn't have put it any better.
