EGT guage probe 6.7L

I have an 05 and all I have performance wise is a Smarty Jr and would like to keep it simple, clean and uncluttered. I would like to know what everyones thoughts are on which of the all in one digital gauges is the best bang for the buck.

I would like one that has the ability to read at least 5 parameters. Fuel supply psi, fuel rail psi, transmission and exhaust temp and boost at a minimum.

Well I am glad to see there is so much info out there for me lol... ... ... ... ... . Thanks fellow TDR advise givers.

Since there seems to be people fighting over whos going to be first to post, I am leaning heavily towards the Quad gauge panel and will probably just get it from Genos.

This just smells of, "I want to start a trany, stick or ______ war. " That said, I wouldn't go with an allinone anything. Now someone will pipe up and tell you how great an Edge J/A is and slam me with other comments, so flame suit on. Loaded questions are best left like sleeping dogs. :-laf BTDT you can keep the T-shirt.

Sounds good to me.

BILLVO,

I have the Quad Commander and love it. I bought the pillar mount for it, painted it to match the rest of the truck and it looks very nice. It works great. I used to have the analogue guages on the 03 but I like the Commander better. Sorry for the delay as I just saw your post.

I guess I am unaware of a "new" version of the Commander. Is there a new one out? I just have the pillar mount for the unit but you could mount it so that it sits atop your dash over in the left corner. If you have analogue guages are you looking to replace them or supplement them? If replace, then get the Commander pillar mount that is made for it.

Looks like they replaced it with the Scout. I do not see the commander on the Quadzilla home page? I wonder what the difference is?

Just saw your post today, sorry. I have the Edge Insight for my '06 w/Smarty Jr. Seems to work fine, although all the pics for it (even the one on the box) show the numbers to be as large as the normal Edge, but when hooked up, the numbers are about half the size!! around 1/4 inch tall. Even Edge said they weren't aware of this??!! It shows rail pressure, and I keep it on 4 displays all the time, (egt, boost, intake air temp, and trans temp) I thought about switching to individual gauges, but the install on this was SUPER easy and I'll probably end up just keeping my setup as is. .

don't get the dashhawk, msd stopped all support for it.

i've heard that the insight is almost the same, developed by edge, bought by msd.

I have a friend who has the quadzilla commander system and he really likes it. Looks good in the cab, easy install, works well. I had thought about purchasing one myself but like all the digital gauges that get their boost readings from the MAP sensor they can't read boost pressures above 40lbs. So, if you're running an aftermarket turbo the boost exceeds 40lbs very often making your “gauge” essentially useless. That being said, if you were going to stay stock or at least under 40lbs of boost I think it's a great purchase for you.
