I am thinking of adding a downloader instead of my EZ. I need one that works well with the juice and adds pressure. I am aware of many of them but really don't know which ones add pressure. I am looking at a bully dog one because it is on sale, any thoughts?

Thanks, Corey

Most of them do. I know the PPE hot when turned all the way up with a timing box gets way to much timing. I have a Bullydog stacked with a TST and I can crank the bully dog up with no problems. I know the Smarty does some pressure too. The MP8 is another good pressure but I know your looking for a programer

Where did you hear or how did you determine that the SMARTY adds pressure?

Rail pressure gauge, saw about a 7K increase at WOT, around 3K at cruising speed. This is on level's 5 and 7. Keep in mind this is with after market injectors, pump and dual feed CP3.

I didn't think Smarty raised the rail press. Is it just that the Smarty brings the power on earlier? Bob or Marco will comment for sure>

This is what we noticed. I am sure Bob and Marco have more indept info, this is what we noticed in Jason Burtons 05

Smarty is same as TST I believe. Doesnt add more pressure beyond stock but ramps it up to the same maximum faster / earlier in the rev band.

I agree with CStraface which does Bully Dog do? I have the juice so the smarty isn't a option. I was thinking of a normal bully dog downloader (not crazy larry) or anything. I already have the juice so power isn't a problem I just want quicker power and I was told that pressure is the way to increase power quicker (at the low end).

What about Bullydog CL? I have heard it does and I have heard it doesn't. Which one is it?
The Triple Dog adds duration, timing and pressure on performance and extreme settings. Both performance and extreme settings spike the rail pressure at rpm's in the 2700 range. On tow, there is no rail pressure increase. The most noticeable change is with torque management off. The tq/Hp at the lower rpms is Very noticeable over stock(almost scary, even on the stock setting)
Cheers

TQ management was killing my 1-2 shift. So much fuel that my Goerend transmission almost broke my neck through the 1-2. I think part of the reason was because I have a very early Goerend valve body. He has re-worked some things with his newer ones. I am in the process of putting my new vb in, so we'll see if that fix's that 1-2 shift issue. But the low end power was crazy when I had TQ Man. off, I'll tell you what.

But as far as pressure goes, I have noticed my rail spiking like described above. But there are still guys out there who sware that BD doesn't add any pressure.
