Which engine do I have???

My truck is an 03 2500. I thought I had the lower HP diesel but my sticker says HO (360CID). Is their anywhere on the truck that would tell me what I have?



Any issues with this motor that I couldn't find in my searches?

Hello, first look at your engine data plate its on the left side of the motor between the intake manifold and the valve or on the valve cover (i don;t remember) if it says 305 HP you have the HO 305hp 555 ft lbs torque and a 48 RE auto trans or 6 speed.

if it reads 250hp you have the SO (standard output) 460 Ft lbs torque with either a 47RE or possibly 48RE auto or a 5 speed manual trans

BTW how many miles you got, and has it been reliable?

I have around 38K, most of which was under our slide in camper and yes the truck is great. No problems so far.
