which exhaust?

I'm sure this has been covered, but i couldn't find it through the search engine.



I would like to upgrade my exhaust to 4" but have no idea which one to go with.



I'm not too worried about looks.



I don't want it to get much louder.



i want to be able to add a little bit of power and keep temps down.



I don't want to spend more than i need to, but don't want to buy junk either.



How dificult are they to install? I am relatively mechanically inclined, but I'm not truely a gearhead.

Do a search for "Banks" or magnaflow, or just exhaust. Theres been a recent discussion on the Banks System earlier this week (in addition to other systems).

I bought the DPP exhaust, and lots of others here have as well. It isn't deafening, and actually sounds pleasant in the cab, not an ear-burner.



Diesel Performance Parts



It was extremely simple to install, I cut the old one off at the muffler and took the two pieces out more easily. Otherwise, the factory seams are tough to break. I found it quite easy to install, even with one person doing the work (me) in the driveway in the middle of July. There are probably others out there that are quite good as well, but I know the DPP is an excellent system and plan on sticking with them if I ever trade my truck. Oh, I bought the aluminized one. Stainless was quite a bit higher but worth it if you keep the truck a very long time.

The price sure is nice on the pinnacle. Anyone think i will regret this cheaper system? What are its downfalls?

Does it go all the way up to the turbo?

For 300 bucks is it much better or longer lasting than stock?

Not Much Help Here, but...

I bought an Aeroturbine setup for my wife's truck, but she hasn't let me put it on yet



She likes the way mine sounds (3500 w/ BD), but she wants to keep her's quiet. Gonna do it soon, but gotta be careful taking OEM system off as I might have to put it back on.



Interesting observation: No EGT problems w/ stock exhaust. Big AFE filter and EZ runs cool (<550' running 70).



Will report if I have one or two exhaust systems to install.
