I'm looking at an after market air breather set up for my rig, which one is highly recommended by the TDR members? I know this is subjective and will get a lot of different responses, but they always help in the final decision making process I go through.

Thanks in advance.

Air Filter

I about decided for myself to remain stock air filter, or if I mod, go with the BHAF with pre-filter. I just don't care for having to do clean up on the oiled type filters an take a chance of over or under oiling it. Just want something I can chunk in the trash an be done with it. :D

dont go with the k&n. i have one in the truck right now but have been reading alot of negative info on them lately. read that afe stage2 is the best way to go for better flow. from what ive been reading a BHAF sounds like the safest bet filtration wise. good luck.

Try this test. . pull out your filter minder and suck on the end to see how much force it takes to pull it down. Now that you see it takes very little force you can reason with what it tells you if you see the engine pulling it down all the time.

This is just my opinion but until I have moded enough to at least see it move I am leaving it stock. Once mods show it pulling down some with a "clean" filter I will drill the factory air box. As mods increase and I find its being pulled down again with a clean filter I will switch to a BHAF and call it done.

Just say no to oil.
