I need a gooseneck camper!

Prodigy wiring on basic model truck

I need some air bags for my 2000 Dodge 2500 4x4 with a camper special springs. Anyone know the part number for the air bag kit?

I'm looking at the ride-rite 2071, but I'm not sure if that is the right part number.

I don't want to remove the helper springs. Also, will this fit behind the wheel liner?

Thanks in advance,

Charles

Part #2220 is the no drill kit that fits behind the inner fender with no cutting and EZ install. This is off my '97 but I pretty sure that the 2000 is the same.

I left my overload springs on also, but removed the overload bumpers to avoid the "kick" I get from them. If you remove yours, be sure to carry them with you just in case an airbag blows with a load on the truck.

I just returned a Firestone Ride-Rite FIP 2220 kit to Summit Racing. They are as BobV describes above, but WILL ONLY fit if you have factory stock overload springs. My 94 does not. If your jounce bumpers (the little rubber bumper that hangs from the frame above the axle housing) is made to contact the axle housing, you do not have oveload springs. If the jounce bumpers contact a casting that is mounted between the frame pack & the overloads, the above kit is correct.

I have ordered the FIP 2071 kit as a replacement. This kit requires drilling the frame and the air bags are on the outside of the frame. Not really what I wanted to do, but these are the only two kits offered by Firestone that fit my 94. HTH

Thanks for the info... Looks like I will need to order FIP 2220. Glad to hear I don't have to drill and it will work with the factory helper springs (camper special).
