Which fuel filter before injector pump?

I recently ordered the Glacier MK-2 fuel filter kit. The question I have is the kit came w/ the fleetguard FF5320 filter. I remember reading in a post before to switch that filter for a Donaldson P 551313 or a CAT IR-0750, I cannot remember which filter would be better to have in this location. I will be installing this kit on all four of my third generation trucks and would like to order a case of the right filter, Thanks - Frank.

Pretty sure both the Donaldson and CAT are 3 um by the new ratings so either should be fine.

Isn't that filter with the kit a 2 micron filter?
I had one on my 05 and it worked as advertised, never an issue.

The fleetguard FF5320 is 5 um absolute 2 um nominal. No, it is not a true 2 um filter. Minimum 3 um is the target for final filter and that is what the other 2 are.

whether the 1r0750 is 2 or 3, either is better than the factory 7!

The Cat is rated at 4um absolute, the Donaldson at 3um absolute. Don't use Wix, they rate their filters on a nominal basis, not absolute.

No, It is not a drop in filter. I have a Glacier secondary fuel filter that I installed on my truck 40,000 miles ago. My fuel goes through the 7 micron stock filter setup and then through the SPIN-ON, 3 micron filter. The secondary, spin-on filter gets changed maybe every 30-35,000 miles and the primary, cartridge filter gets changed every 12,15,000 miles. 67,000 miles on the original injectors. No injector issues as yet.

I was using a P550800-EA but Amsoil told me not to use it. Not sure how or why I was using it?
