I am getting an aftermarket fuel plate for my 94 automatic 2500. The question is which should I go with? I rarely pull heavy loads, usually a car trailer or occasionally a 5th wheel camper for a short distance. Mostly I'm looking for better acceleration. I'll probably install a GSK as I go.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thats the same animal I have;) ... ... Nice combo for me... Better start a piggy bank for your transmission bombing fund.

A #10 in the stock position or slightly forward, matched with a set of 3K springs shows to be about the best all around setup, nice smooth power that can be tamed or let loose and if set tame is friendly to the stock auto's. Call the folks at PDR and ask them the same set of questions 1-866-888-9396.

i have been hearing about alot of people putting the 10 on 160 pumps what is the power rating equivilant to and why is it better to use that plate instead of a number 6 im confused now

The 10 is a lot better match with the gsk. The 6 is good with stock gov. It is all about the PACKAGE.

Just an opinion here but if your going to turn up a 12V by adding a plate and not adding Gov springs your wasting your time, yea a plate will work fine and just about the time it really starts going it noses over. The 10 has a nice half moon fuel curve that starts out smooth and fuels harder in the mid range then de-fuels a bit on top to control EGT's.

Would you like some proof! 95' 5 speed with 300 K on it, a #10 plate, 4K's and timing to 15. 5.

Thanks for all the answers. I was caught between the 6 and 10 but considering I have 200k and a rebuilt transmission that I'm not impressed with, I'll probably go with the 10 plate and a 3kgsk. I'll post my results but that will be a while as drive this thing everyday and will have to find time gap to work on it.
