I have a stock 98 3500 12V auto 3. 54's.

I am wanting to put a plate in and I am not sure which one to use. I have a stock auto and tc. I do not want to destroy the trans or tc (lack of funds). I want something that gives good power and is driveable on the street everyday. I run the truck about 52 miles a day. I do not tow.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Chuck

Morning, Chucksram. I also have a 98 12v'r (see signature). I put in a #6 fuel pump plate and the difference was very impressive. I don't know about had on the transmission. My auto doesn't seem to mind it. Mine is a little slow going into overdrive now ( I decellerate a little and it goes right in) but I think that is the TPS. I plan on cleaning it tonight. To answer your question in a sentence, I like my #6 plate. Good Luck.

I did add a gauge package.

Chuck:

Like "Bart" I also ran TST's #6 plate in my 96' for

a long time with the stock injectors. The only other

"modifications" I had was a "Trans-Go" Shift Kit

in the transmission to raise the line pressures

some. I ran this combination from the time the

truck was new until I his about 90,000 miles.

I had no problems at all.

Hope this has helped you some.

Chuck:

I ordered mine from Mark Chapple at "TST Products. "

His phone number is: (812) 342-6741. I forgot to

tell you this but you may want to just consider

going to a "complete" valve body. That would

acheive the same result although the valve body

would be more expensive. TST has complete

valve bodies too, however, I purchased mine

from Scheid Diesel when they rebuilt my transmission.

Their phone number is: 1-800-669-1593.

Ask for "J. P. " if you call them.
