I don't know who sells the insert but I'm pretty sure this is the OEM SRT10 hood. The ebay version you are talking about is the OEM Rumble Bee bolt on scoop.

if its the STR10 hood they let water in to the engine compartment thats y i didnt get one. and how much on e-bay i have seen them from the dealer for around $400... .

The dealer is getting $660 for the SRT-10 hood and scoop, less tax.

The insert is I believe $140 on eBay, the guy selling them is cutting them for sale.

Check for a post from me on a new SRT-10 scoop insert I'm working on, should be alot cheaper in price. I'm also considering a rain plug for the scoop.

You can always fabricate a plastic piece inside the scoop to prevent water from coming through. That's how mine is. :D

Rain water was one of the things that had bothered me after installing my SRT hood also. After driving through a pretty good little rain storm I had checked under the hood all worried that the amount of water that had come in through that opening would have washed all the paint off of the engine, but when I opened the hood I could barely tell any water had come in. I'm kinda thinking like Scotty is about that hood opening. It's not placed in an area that allows very much air flow into the engine compartment. Now if I was too take off the bug shield, the air flow into the engine copartment might change might change.
