I'm looking into new injectors, currently I'm running stock injectors. As far as other mods go, I have an Edge Comp tapped, 4" exhaust, gauges, and a true flow foam filter for the stock air box. The truck is an 01. 5 with a 6 speed and 4. 10 rear end. One of my buddies here in town is about to switch out his Bosch RV 275 injectors to something bigger and I was thinking his old injectors would be pretty decent with the Comp and stock turbo. I can get a decent deal on the injectors. What do you guys think? Anybody running something similar? Will I be sorry I didn't cough up a couple extra $ and buy bigger injectors while I'm changing them out or should I do this for now, then upgrade turbo and injectors again down the road?

Thanks for the help, Matt

I had the same setup on a 99 i once had. I was well pleased with it. Guess it depends on how much you are going to have to give for the injectors from your friend.

$200. Figured that wasn't too bad to get a little more power. He's had them in his truck for about 1 year and less than 20k miles.

Ihave 275's and they work well and you do't have to worry about EGT's getting too high. also if you live in cold weather as I do they seem to start OK when it is -10 to -20 deg. I do have to warn you that the power is nice and smooth and very addictive. For the money you can't hardly go wrong and they aren't that hard to change when you have to have more power and it will happen to the best of us.

Hey Tiger Rag, nice look'n truck. I'm running DD3's & TST Box. I had to upgrade my clutch after about 8 months. Not that upgrading your clutch is a bad thing. Southbend OFE. Its just that same ol story, one upgrade leads to another and another and another. Then theres that CaTCher ECM upgrade you have to watch out for. Have fun bombing that CTD.

They will make a wonderful improvement for the $200. Bigger injectors will over power your stock clutch, requiring many more $$'s for a better clutch.

i had the exact setup once... . i think

nice upgrade, mileage went up too if i remember right

my stock clutch held out for a while at this configuration

get them pop tested before you pay for them, im thinking $200 might be on the steep end. mine ended up as core trade in for bigger and better in less than a year

You can get a new set of EDM nossles for that price. They are easy to change and provide better fuel economy than the bosh rv injectors.

:-{}

Of course you would have a set of cores that are worth about $100. 00 if you buy your buddies.

Have fun with your new upgrade whatever you decide. Mike

I agree send your core in to Rip and get some Mach 1. 5's. More power and better gas mileage.

Who is Rip? What is the contact info or website? Hope that is not too bad of a question. I read here when I can, just can catch all the posts. Thanks for the help.
