Right now I have 370's. I am looking for more power and am thinking of changing injectors. Which would you recomend?

Truck 1993 Chevy K3500 Crew Cab Dualley

Motor 1997 with 215 pump

#10 plate

Piers Cam

370 pistons(motor completely rebuilt-balanced, o rings)

3K GSK

HTB2 turbo

NV5600 with con-o clutch

My goal is around 450HP at the wheels. The truck is a daily driver and does some heavy towinf from time to time.

Thanks

KEvin

It should be easy to get 450 with those injectors, esp. with the matched pistons and the HTB2. There's gotta be a reason you're not making that much power already.

1st question. 370's in our engines, they have the wrong spray pattern?? or angle??

which leads me to my 2nd question

If you have "370 pistons" and they obviously match 370's. then you change injectors. Wont that be a problem

Michael

Most of the larger injectors all have the same spray angle of 155deg. wich is the same as the 370. So those 370 pistons should be a good match. Dont underestimate the potential of the 370s Ive seen 760plus #2 only hp on stock 370s.

From what ive read, You should be at 450rwhp now

unless the truck is sucking air somewhere

With my sig. I was told by an injector shop that if I put in some Bosch 300s. I would be at 400/420 rwhp. I tow a 9k boat. So not taking a chance on high egts at this time

You're not too far off of what I'm running. I put down 425hp without the water/meth and the plate full forward on winter fuel. I'm sure with a little plate tuning I could do better. If 450 is what you're after I'd say you're close enough to do a little tuning and be happy. On the other hand if you're already in the ball park and don't know it then maybe you're looking for 500 to be happy :D .

Good luck,

Mike
