I am in the market for at least a 25 gal. sewer tote. Can some of the more experienced RVer`s give me their $0. 02 worth of advice as to which brand or extras to have in a Tur_ toter?thanx:-laf

I've never used one but there was a thread here, oh, 6-10 days ago about them... . maybe a search or scroll back... I read it... but since I've never had the need I didn't remember the suggestions...

I think Camping World has two types. There is a black or dark color grey one and a blue one. I don't have the brand names but you can check their website. The black one looks sturdy but cracks around the wheel area. I have a friend that kept getting new ones under waranty until it ran out. He then switched to the blue one and has been happy with it. It has a better wheel attachment system. They are all fairly fragile so you have to take it easy if you are towing it. The blue one holds up better especially on gravel or dirt roads.

I bought a blue one from Camping World about 35 years ago & I think it was a Thetford but not sure. Still use it today.

I have a 15 gal. tank made by H&H Engineering, that I bought in 1997. I used it quite a bit for 6 months. It is blue and I likely bought it at Camping World. It is still in good shape. It has decent hard plastic wheels, but I would never consider towing it behind a truck (maybe a lawn tractor).

I checked mine & it is an H & H Engineering 15 Gal. I pull mine from the trailer to the dump station behind the truck all the time. That is what 1st gear on a 6 speed is good for.

I use the blue ones from Camping world for mostly grey water transport. My mobile kitchen does not have holding tanks and a 23 gallon one has been with us for 8 years now and most of my crew has towed with a truck at one time or another. The only thing I don't like (much) is you can't seen to get all of the liquid out of it and you have to stand it on end to empty it. I haven't used a short hose though (I will have to try that next time).
