Which OBD version do the 04. 5 CTD 600's use? I've got an OBD II reader and was wondering if it will work with the 04. 5's  .

It would be better yet if someone could post a table for each model year (or rangr of years) and the proper OBD version.

Thanks for the help.

There is only OBDII and OBD. OBDII has been the mandated standard since 1996. I'm not sure the original OBD standard was ever actually mandated or used by anyone.

There has been some discussion about changes to the protocol at the OBDII port on the '04-and-up trucks, but I assume your OBDII scanner will still work.

Next generation will be can bus. Many euro cars are using it now it will soon be mandated. A few domestic vehicles are using it now. 04 Durango is one
