which oil or filter?

Oo. Which oil or filters? Which oil/filter  I'm presently using amsoil w/dual filters I've been told by others that the wafers in the filter will deteriorate prematurely, and I should adapt over to fleetguard filters and start using L/E brand lubricants like many of the large fleets do. Has any one heard of this problem. OR L/E lubricants????

There is nothing at all wrong with Amsoil filters I think they are right there at the top of the Heep in quality. Fleet guard is the other filter maker that is comparable. Amsoil started this whole synthetic revolutions back in the late 60's, I can not see how anyone could fine fault with them or their products.

Many people I know including myself, use Amsoil products, but oil and filters. They make a very good replacement filter for the Dodge, it is a cotton gauze unit like the K&N, but seal very well around the air box, and is washable for many miles of service. Probably the best replacement filter for the stock air filter housing, just don't over oil them.

I use the series 2000 in all our vehicles with gas engines, it is a great oil and has given me great protection. In the Dodge, I use the series 3000 engine oil, along with the ATF and gear lube. I just recently add their dual by-pass filter mount and the Amsoil AmsOiler. The mount is made from billet steel, it is machined and looks as well as it works. For the engine adapter I went to one of the fellow TDR members that makes an billet aluminum piece that is wonderfully machined, very stout and good looking product. I also mounted it up behind the front bumper, instead of in the engine compartment, looks nicer and does not block anything around the engine.

If you stay with Amsoil, you will not have to worry about anything oil related, they have great products. Oh, and don't worry about what your friends say, their wrong.
