HI! I AM A NEW 1/2 MEMBER. I ONLY HAVE A 95 V10 2500 3/4 LONG 4X4 AUTO K&N DUEL EXH. AFTER FINDING THIS SITE I AM, WELL 1 NO 110% SURE THAT THE TD IS THE WAY TO GO. MY QUESTION IS THIS: WHAT IS THE SUGESTED WAY TO GO ABOUT PICKING THE RIGHT ONE. I DO HAVE PERAMITERS. 24V 2500 4X4 QC LONG AUTO. NOT SURE ON 4. 10s OR 3. 54s. ANY MAJOR PROBLEMS W/ A PITICULAR YEAR? AFTER ALL THE READING I HAVE LEARNED A FEW THINGS. HO- NO AUTO- THATS OK, SEEMS HOs ARE HARDER TO "BOMB" (of coarse i want to BOMB) NEWER YEARS HAVE "VOID WARRANTY" STICKERS WHERE YOU PLUG IN THE OLDER "BOXES"? AND THE ULTIMATE QUESTION, SHOULD YOU JUST BUY NEW, I KNOW DC WOULD WANT ME TO. I DO KNOW HOW TO BUY REASONABLE WEATHER IT BE NEW OR USED, NOT IN TOO MUCH OF A HURRY- ONLY BECAUSE OF THE W- I MEAN WELL WHEN IT COMES TO BUYING SOMETHING I WANT/NEED I HAVE TO BE CAREFULL.
THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ALL THE INFO!

JRG- DESPRATELY NEEDING CUMMINGS POWER.

well you come to the right place, however from what I have read there are +/- to all trucks. I guess its all in what you want and plan to do. I love mine and wouldn't have it any other way. Except for DC to be more understanding. Just do some research through the past posts and I think you will find your answer. I hope this helps and welcome to the madness!!!!!!

JRG... welcome to the TDR !!! Here's my opinion. ETC V. ETH depends on what you plan on doing to the truck. How much HP to you want ? Right now, the ETH is limited to around 400 HP MAX. I think you could surpass that with the ETC. I have the 3. 54's and plan on towing a 5th wheel sometime in the future. If you plan on hauling alot of weight most of the time, then maybe the 4. 10's would be a better option. If your truck will mostly be a unloaded daily driver, then I would go with the 3. 54's. I have to say that "out of the box", the ETH has alot going for it. Plenty of torque and HP for most. Once you BOMB though, it get's alittle addicting and you always want more. I would look around at used, unless you are set to get a new vehicle. The 12 valvers are real HP friendly and you might find one at a good price. Another thought is the trans. , either auto or manual will require an upgrade for serious HP gains. As groundpounder stated, search the TDR and you will find the knowledge by our members. Hope this helps.

BigSaint, What factor(s) are currently limiting the ETH to about the 400 HP level? Is it only fuel/lift pump issues, or is ther more? I am about to undertake serious BOMBing on my ETH/DEE, and although I don't really know what 400HP will feel like, I think I am aiming for that level. It will really be a "I'll know it when I feel it" kind of thing.

Thanks,
Tom

JRG,Welcome to the TDR site, anything you need to know about the Cummin's diesel,or the Dodge truck you'll find here, have fun.

WHAT WOULD BE THE MAJOR CHANGES FOR EACH PITICULAR YEAR? IF I'M GOING TO BUY USED I WANT TO KNOW WHAT YEAR NEEDS TO BE THE CUT-OFF. I THINK QC-24V ONLY GOES BACK TO '98. 5? WHAT ABOUT 4 WHEEL DISCS OPTION OR STANDARD? 2001 ONLY? IF I ORDER CAN I GET DUEL POWER SEATS NON-LEATHER? HOW MUCH CAN YOU GET PICKY IF YOU ORDER? ANYONE WITH ANY CRAZY STORIES?

I take it that "C" & "H" mean something other than pure cane sugar. Would that be high-output vs. regular? And what does "DEE" mean?
