Competition Buda Texas dyno?

Competition driveline weak links

On my 96 i am not sure which direction i wanna head with wat pistons i wanna use. The internals are stock and the cam gear walked off the cam so i am in the motor anyways i figured i may aswell put different pistons in but which ones. My truck is mainly for the street but will see some pulling and drag racing i want somwmething that will handle wat i throw at it. I am going to hopefully be putting ats twins on soon and i need advice as to wat pistons i need. Any help is much appreciated.

You can make good power with the stock pistons. Not sure there is a much better piston out there. If you change bowl design, you have to change injectors too, to keep the spray angle and pattern in the bowl.

Awwww, Keith just don't want nobody walkin all over him!:D

Look into a set of Arias forged with a CR around 15 or so with THE '03 BOWL DESIGN!! Your 140s will spray right into that bowl.

You button that back up and that A5K lights off you will pop your hood and kiss that turbo, you'll like it so much.

Does it get real cold in the winter where you are?

Pffft, like I care about someone making more power than me. LOL

TJ, remember he is talking 12v, with the offset bowl pistons and angle installed injectors, not squared up top like a 24v.

get some marine pistons and so big marine 370's that will give you enough fuel for big power. look into techline coatings too good stuff they have

Dang! That's right! Sorry about that dieselboy.

I still suffer from the delusion that I can hot rod a 24valve.

NOT. (Sigh)

do u like Smoke??

I have the marine pistons in a motor I built. I put a bigger cam so I had to have them fly cut, But any ways I put 370 marine injectors in too. The only thing I dont like is the bad haze of smoke I always have. And if I dont have it plugged in if it get below 40 or less It takes for ever to start and white smokes like crazy till it warms up. I have been thinking about putting 215 injectors back in mine Does any one know if that is allrite to do? Justin

What is your timing set at? High timing will effect starting.

A little to high

My timing was set at 35deg I just retimed it today back to 20. I had it bumped up for the summer to pull. It seemns to start better and not smoke as bad. We we will see in the morning???? Next is to change the injectors out to 215. I am detuning it cause I have been braking the nv4500 too mutch. #@$%!

jbrookshire i would try your timing and go back to say 17 18 also the marine injectors are gonna be better matched to the marine pistons then the 215's.

another thought is what washers did you put in? that can affect how it performs
