Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) which power service additive to add?

Crazy question but which PS additive would be recommended for increasing the diesel lubricity during non winter months? Diesel kleen in the gray bottle or diesel supplement in the white jug? I'm primarily interested in increasing the fuels lubricity. Both are available locally. Thanks

I am a Power Service dealer. Gary KJ6Q got it right. Diesel Kleen is the best performance additive for non-winter use that PS makes.



RobertMiller1: You are also correct. Once open, the bottles are notorious for leaking. I normally sell CTD guys the 16 ounce bottle (50 gallon treatment) and tell them to dump the whole bottle in (slight overtreating is completely harmless - I've done it since 1994). I have used the 32 ounce bottles, dump half in one tank, and when I finally get around to using the remaining half of that bottle, most of it has leaked out in my truck bed. Nice.



Other than bottle flaws (easily avoided by getting the 16 ounce version) I feel Power Service products are the best out there. I became a dealer only this year, after 10 years of using their products. So I believed in PS before it made me money.

To add to my last post, for winter use, using the white bottle (Diesel Fuel Supplement) is the best bet. It has the strongest anti-gel mixture and gives you cetane boost. PS also makes a blue bottle product called Arctic Express. This is simply a budget anti-gel, no cetane or detergents are included in this product. This is a great product if all you want is anti-gel qualities and don't want to pay the extra money for cetane and detergents. Lots of truckers use the Arctic Express because it is cheaper and simply prevents the fuel from gelling.

Gray bottle for me also. But the last time I bought it at Walmart, the only thing on the shelf was the white bottle, diesel Kleen must have been popular.

I keep it in the toolbox in the bed because it does LEAK.



Duluth, I will try buying the smaller bottles and dumping one bottle per tank.

I use the Kleen also, I buy the big jugs and pour it up into a 16 oz bottle. I have been using the same 16 oz bottle for over three years! I would buy another, but all I find here are the big 96 oz or 32 oz bottles now.
