Which Programmer Is Better For The 2001? I Just Want To Try A Programmer For Something Diff. Got Rid Of The Drag Comp, An Want To Replace It With A Programmer Not A Box.

Smarty resets thrown codes, has several different programs instead of just a few and also has an anti theft program that I just learned about, but it works great. I believe it also reprograms the ECM much faster then most other programmer's.

I havent tried the other's so I can't knock them, I can say I wasnt impressed with Hypertech's diesel knowledge when I called them about the Hyperpac.

I had a Superchips programmer for a year... . It is a good tuner, but superchips & hypertech are programs for stock vehicles. I tried a Smarty for a week & would trade my Drag Comp in a heartbeat. It was a loaner from a TDR member. The Smarty makes the truck run smoother & more fun to drive than anything I've ever tried. Contact Bob Wagner & he will let you try one before you buy one... . Believe me you will buy one! :-laf

With the mods listed in your signature I would think a Smarty would be your best choice. Best of all you would be able to adjust your tire size to recalibrate your speedo...

The smarty is to a superchips for what as an ez is to a drag comp. Its definitely a kick in the s. o. p. meter. The truck pulls..... hard til you run out of fuel.

Smarty By Far. Call up Olee, He'll Give you the nitty gritty. He just put in on my truck and it was a amazing diffrence. You may not make as much power without the drag comp but you can stack the drag comp. Its a much safer and smarter way to go on a diesel pickup. Superchips and hypertech are onething on a ford or chevy but smarty is the way to go on a dodge.
Just try one! Theres no compairison!

Thats what I forgot, you can stack the smarty with other boxes and with hypertech you can't... dont know about superchips but I bet they dont want you too.

Go with a Juice with the Attitude monitor... then add a Smarty!!! :-laf I'm thinking about it myself!

I don't really like my Superchips tuner. Its very slow to load or make changes. I have had different chips attached at one time or another, & here shortly I will be running the Edge Juice w/ Attitude.



I noticed with Superchips, the egt's come up alot faster than the other chips.



I wouldn't buy another one.

its not that i dont like the comp just got rid of it to try other things. the frown next to dtt is because i have gone thruogh 3 of them in less then 20,000 miles!i have spent 10,000 dollars on this trans this is no BS! THEY BURN UP AFTER A COUPLE PASSES DOWN THE TRACK AN POWER BRAKIN IT KILLS THEM. WHY SPEND ALL THIS MONEY ON A TRANS IF U CANT USE IT? I HAVE QUIT RACEING, SLEDPULLIN, IT. I JUST DRIVE IT NOW, SCARED TO DEATH ABOUT WHEN IT MIGHT GO AGAIN.
