Which sensor likely to fail next?

MEGARAM now has just over 108,000 miles. 2-weeks ago the tach started failing. With help of trusty TDR members and my service manual, I determined the crankshaft position sensor was failing. Replaced sensor and solved problem.



This week the oil pressure indication began dropping to zero now and then. Again with the help of the TDR and my service manual, it looks like the sending unit is failing. Unit is on order and will arrive in a couple days.



What other sensor failures might I expect to see and what symptoms will accompany the failures? Also, I would like to add a mechanical oil pressure gauge for back up. Where on the '99 24V motor might I easily be able to tap off a pressure source for a mechanical gauge?

Have you added a mechanical gauge? What range did you use and what is the thread size of the hole so I can get the parts in advance? (1/8" NPT?)
