Greetings all, I'm trying to figure out which shocks to choose from. Are there other besides the Bilseins and the Rancho that don't cost a ton of money ?? I'm lokking for a little stiffer than stock and are not around 70 bucks per shock. I don't haul or pull at his time. Just a daily driver. All coments welcome and Happy Holidays to all. 95 4x4 LB spd 225K and still counting!! Thanks Brian

KYB Gas-ajust monotube shocks. Advance Auto should carry them. They're about the price of ordinary gas shocks.

They're stiffer than stock. They don't wear out. I've got about 165K on mine; they've loosened up a little over the years, but they're still far better than the OEM shocks were with 5,000 miles on them.

Be sure you ask for the mono-tube variety. The twin-tube model will fail real fast.

I just went from Bilsteins to the heavy duty Monroe's (yellow), needed shocks bad (one broken) and couldn't wait for the Bilsteins to get in, they aren't Bilsteins but they didn't cost the $$$'s, I happy with the value, the only real difference I can tell is in fast cornering and I usually drive slow, loaded I really like them

KYB's I just pulled out another set do to the mileage and they still had the gas charge. I use the gas adjusts but this time around my parts girl couldn't get them she got me KYB magnums They feel a little firmer than the gas adjust but I think I like the feel better I would definitely recommend KYB's.
