Water/Methanol Installed

I was looking into getting a clutch along with the mods I want. Not sure which one to go with though. I have the air taken care of. The exhaust is done. Guages are in. Edge will be in at the end of the month. The 275 Injectors a month or so after that. Then I will obviously need a clutch. Does anyone out there with the same HO truck as me know any numbers as far as HP and Torque so I will know what to get from SB clutch. I know I won't know exactly unless I dyno but a ballpark figure would sure help. I don't tow anything over 10,000, but if I do I don't want ot ruin my clutch. Thanks for the info. Russ Wallis

Russ it all depends on how much HP you are going to build. I have the same mods as you are planning on doing and went with the MU1947 Con O. I not only talked to Peter but also Rod Snaith (Wildcat Diesel) and both said go with the O. It is rated to 350 HP but will hold more than that. It is smooth as butter and I haven't been able to slip it at all. If you are going to go higher (I'm not) you may want to look at the Con OFE.

I dyno'd my truck @ Piers Dynomania and results are in my sig. Good luck on your choice, South Bend works great for me. :D Phil

If you are staying with 275's and a COMP, then an O wil be just dandy.

If you are thinking about going bigger, an OFE will be good,, but can get a little chattery whn moving big stuff around (I grossed out at 40,000Lbs several times, and backing stuff up could get to be a pony ride)

I ran my OFE at 457RWHP and 950RWTQ for just about 20,000 miles, and even with my abuse, it was running good, but slipping a little when powershifting at WOT when I took it out for an upgrade to an FE.

The graph showed 990, but everybodys seemed high that day. I have no clue how the torque numbers were figured. Still, that seems way to high. If I were to venture an educated guess, I would say closer to 700-750.
