Archived Which steering box???

I have a leak coming from the pitman arm shaft seal. I ordered the repair kit and read about chaging the seal on this site. However when I went to replace the seal I can not see a snap ring at all. It appears that the seal needs to be replaced from inside. Is this a different type of box than other people on here have? Are there any breakdowns of this box, or repair instructions? My shop manual is once again useless. Any help would be appreciated.

The snap ring is way up in there, maybe an inch or so. The shaft is easy to remove from the top.

Thanks for the reply. I went back out and played with it some more, and found out the reason I couldn't see the snap ring was because there is a dust seal in place below the snap ring. Once the dust seal was removed, the rest is obvious. It's back together and dry so far.
