Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Which Trans Fluid_POLL

I have a full Suncoast Trans due for the first fluid change.

Any opinions on which fluid is best.

Not so much brand as type

We put Amsoil in my buddy's 98 12v race truck and it did great, except for the broke tailshaft, but that wasn't my fault!

Other than that I would put what is recomended for your truck wich should be ATF+4. Hope this helps.

I would contact Suncoast and see what they say about it.

I run a DTT transmission with ATF+3 with good results. Oo.

John at Suncoast said Dexron III w/ no friction modifier.

I just wanted to see what other builders were using.

Especially with the Synthetics such as Amsoil.

DTT recommends ATF-3. I run Valvoline SynTech ATF-3 FWIW... .

Dextron III and add 1 bottle of LUBE GUARD in the BLACK bottle. Thanks Steve
