Here's the criteria:

1. want the best bang for the buck

2. MPG improvement is number one priority both unloaded and loaded. HP/TQ are not really a factor since everything I'm towing now is no sweat for the truck.

3. Easy to use/set up with minimal chance of warranty issues.

Any help based on personal knowledge and use of a particular tuner is desired.

Thanks.

No improvement with my power pup on the lowest setting... just a lot of timing noise and an unexplained engine stall. I'm now stock and it runs fine.

Do not expect a mileage improvement that will justify the cost of the equipment..... Remember that MPG is a math formula based on weight, HP, wind resistance, driveline resistance and acceleration. . Its Science... ...

With a chassis dyno you can predict all of the above and flow chart MPG... . changing weight, wind resistance and acceleration will effect this formula the most, any other changes very little...

As an example my wife drives 10-15 mph slower than I do and accelerates in twice the time (slower) and she always get 12-15% better fuel economy driving the same vehicle...

I hope that those who have added performance enhancements to their vehicles will come forward and tell you the extra HP is a blast and its great pulling a trailer... . but the honest truth is that you won't see more than 1-2% increase in mileage if you can keep your foot off the throttle with all that extra HP... ... .

If you find a vendor offering great MPG increases ask him to offer you a money back deal based on a Dyno Run... .

I have the bull dog triple dog and it works great. I could tell the deferents as soon as i started my truck. you can do the try it before you bye it. thats the best way to tell if you like it or not. with out spending the cash
