which turbo?

i ordered a pdrhx-35 12cm (pdr recc) . the ex housing is on back order. with my mods(see sig) is the 12 cm housing the one for me or is a 14cm better. im not going up anymore hp. just want the best of both worlds for towing 20% of the time. what is the difference of spool time from 12 to 14? i smoke a bit off the line now. how much more with these? thanks ken

With the auto, I'd assume you have a HY35-9. In that case, the 12 should support your hp desires. But, if you go to a higher HP level (dont we all, eventually?) you may need to go to a bigger turbo, as well as housing.



I will say that the guys at PDR know their stuff, and based on what you tell them (i. e. be honest about how much empty vs towing miles you see), they will normally get you what you need.
