Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) which turbo?

I need a turbo but do not want it to be to laggy. If I hammer it my egt's can get pretty high. I realize I need to get my timing done and also get some gov. springs. But before I do any more I'll need a turbo so what are some of y'alls sujjestions. I currently have stock(ouch),thanks.

What EDM's are you running?



Power seems kind of low with a 215 pump, 10 full forward, and EDMs.....



How fast do you egts climb?



Get the 3K installed and timing at 16 or so then see how much more turbo you need.



Do you plan to add any more power to your truck?

I am running 100 hp EDM's from MASS Diesel and my EGT's hit 1500 pre-turbo. But I was afraid if I advance the timing I would run hotter quicker! I really don't understand how that all works,thats why I'd like some input from someone who has had this done before.

M, give J. R. Adkins a call 3172813130 . I am running a new turbo that he is building. I love it so far. Boost is instantaneous(sp?). I have only had it on for about a week, and have not had a chance to get a load behind it on a trailer. Cruising at about 70mph egt is a little under 700 and boost is about 5lbs. I am at about 3000 foot so boost would be a little more at a lower elevation.
