I have an NV4500 w/ an advance adapters kit in it, I bought the truck like this. I think I'm going to be doing a clutch soon, does this take the stock type clutch? Same input shaft spline count/throw out and pilot bearing ID's? Thanks-Nick
I know the input shaft diameter and spline count are the same, which would lead one to believe the throwout bearing is the same as well, though they could have a different thickness, affecting clutch release.
Which type of clutch for a truck w/ an NV4500 AA kit
When i did my AA kit in my 92 , i used the LUK pro gold clutch kit from
Six States in Portland oregon , in the book it clearly states a stock type clutch only , I tow with it and operates great , this the new oem replacement

get a south bends from quad 4x4... . smaller... but holds more power and it's not as touchy when engaging... 4 years no problems and i've pulled stuff too heavy for the truck and have taught 3 ppl how to drive a manual on it... still good to go.

I paid around $300. 00 for my clutch .
Dont go with that South bend it has to be the stock diaphram style clutch .
plus that southbend will cost you just about a grand for a clutch .
I wont pay that much for a Peterbilt one and im not going to do it for my pick up especially when the blue book for a 92 perfect is around $4500. 00 mine is not , If the south bend was guareenteed for life and freee replacement ,plus labor for a $1000. 00 then it might be ok .
Also the stuff from Quad 4x4 is OEM gen 2 stuff , not the AA kits
