Which types of guages are best

I have a 2004½ CTD on order-I have been reading about EGT's, lift pump failures, etc. I intend to keep the truck mostly stock. I intend to pull a 10K camper in the mountains a lot. Manual, so trans temp not necessary. I figure I need the following three guages.



1. Fuel Pressure-with senders before and after FW separator, and toggle switch to switch between senders.

2. Boost- should I get 0-30 or 0-60-remember mostly stock truck.

3. EGT-pre or post turbo... or both with toggle switch like fuel pressure.



Don't know for sure when I will get truck-dealer thinks he will be able to get VON on or about 12/10. . delivery probably in Mid to late February.

I use Autometer and have not had any problems. I use the shiny aircraft aluminum pro comps. You shouldnt need a boost gauge. EGT and your fuel setup you are going to do will be just fine. You didnt say manual or auto. You might do a transmission temp gauge if you go with the automatic. Congrats on your new baby.
