Need some tools for PVC conduit.

Impact sockets vs regular sockets

I am looking at getting a welder for my business.

I am considering a Miller 251 for shop use, or just getting a Miller Trailblazer 301D.

I will be using it for heavy Aluminum welding (mig), and steel work as well.

Does anyone have experience with either of these units or similar units?

Thanks,

E7

take some material you usually work with to the dealer and test them all out... also most dealers around here have test units available for your shop to try out

Miller makes a good welder,Lincoln also. I'm also looking for a MIG/TIG,it will be a toss-up between the two. I have a Hobart 10k generator/stick welder,it does a good job. I had a choice between an ONAN(division of Cummins) or Kohler engine, guess which one I picked;) . I have a Snap-On MIG at work but I believe it's made by Lincoln. I love it. You don't have to clean slag between passes and alot cleaner weld. Makes it hard to go back to the stick :( ... Doug

Just so everyone knows,

Miller and Hobart are the same company now.

I am leaning towards the Trailblazer. It has a 10KW gen-set, in Diesel. a 300 amp mig/tic/stick at 100% duty cycle.

Just hung up on the 8 large to get it.
