whining noise

i have picked up an annoying whine in the area where the alternator is located, it is most noticable in the 1100 to 1500 rpm range. this noise occured immediately proceeding an oil and filter change. i did switch from dino to synthetic at this time. the truck is an 04, 555, 3500 manual, with 16,000 miles. does anyone have any thoughts?

Did you mess with belt tension? Spill oil on the belt? I don't know. Just playing internet diagnostics.
