Under the hood develops a whining noise which gets lounder the harder the throttle is pressed. The noise will then go away as I reach cruising speed until the load increases such as going up a hill or speeding up and I have to use the go pedal again. This is weird because the noise is not constant. It only appears when the go pedal is used under a moderate to heavy load. Any ideas on what this could be? Thanks in advance.

Is it the turbo? Could be a leaking boot somewhere under the hood? Check all your turbo boots for tightness and for cracks. They can rot over time.
