Does anyone have a white sprayed in bedliner or rocker panels on their truck? I am toying with this idea for my rockers and would like to see if anyone has done this. I know it isn't common but I don't want a 2-tone truck but I would like the protection. Another question, has anyone put chrome rocker covers over the bedliner material? The people I have talked to think that the chrome strips would not stick. Thanks for any words of wisdom or other wise.

The Linex dealer that did my box said he would not do white because it yellows with time and says there is no way to prevent the yellowing.

That maybe true for line-x but other companies put UV protectants in with the bedliner to prevent the yellowing. That is one of the issues with going with the white but I know it can be done.

Check out the pictures of my truck. :D Thats Line-X on the body(yea its black) but I think it looks good. Oo. My father had white done on his CTD in 1995 like mine but just not as high up. It was Rhino lining and it has yellowed over the years, but not reel bad, But you can see it.

I'm a LINE-X dealer.

Some LINE-X dealers, including myself, use Dupont Ful-Thane Nason for color matches, including white. Nason is a urethane based automotive paint, it will not fade. I don't recommend white bedliners unless you put on a tonneau. The white textured bedliner shows EVERY spec of dirt and it's not easy to keep clean. For flare/rockers, I'm 50/50. BTW, you'll pay a premium for white, it's harder to work with.

Here's a white LINE-X bedliner.

I have to ask why you say you are 50/50 on rockers. Have you ever done rockers in white in your shop? As for the price the one place I am looking at going with has a flat color charge as opposed to line-x that wanted quite a bit more for the white over other colors. I am not trying to be difficult just thurough. Thanks for the picture though.

I wish I liked the look of a two tone on my truck. I have a tan interior but I don't really like the white over tan, like ford has. There is nothing wrong with the black, just not what I am going for.

I have not sprayed rockers in white. The lightest color I've sprayed on rockers is Ford's Arizona Beige. I'm 50/50 because I don't know how much dirt want to accumulate on a textured surface in a vertical position. So, I'm just not sure how "dirty" it will look.

You need to be really careful if you do it. Many brands spray colors that fade. White turns yellow, taupes turn green, reds turn pink. Here's an example of another brand that faded. The rocker and flares were color matched. But, they faded and became rather dull looking (no gloss):

Nason is glossy and it retains it's gloss and won't fade. A bedliner with gloss is really a lot better looking. Here's a pic (LINE-X with Nason) that

shows off the gloss pretty good. Note that this bedliner will ALWAYS look exactly like what you see here. :

Wow! that last truck pic looks like red primer almost to me the way it faded. I saw a couple of years ago a F250 PS on a bank parking lot for sale, and the bed and top railing down about a foot on the bed was sprayed with a red liner (don't have any idea which brand) but it had faded to a pinkish color. The rest of the truck looked super clean just that faded liner made it really stick out like a sore thumb. :--)
