While changing the fuel filter noticed some white deposits on the inside of fuel cannister after removing old filter. Any one know what this white stuff is or where it came from? I buy my fuel at a busy truck stop.

It's the corrosion (oxidation) that grows on aluminum, the equivalent of rust that grows on steel. Not positive but think it takes water to get it started. I've seen it quite often on aluminum gasser fuel system parts, not so much on a diesel though.
