Competition 1St time teuck pulling

Competition Performance Diesel = 12.4 ET @ 110 mph

I am posting this for someone else.

Track from hell would be an understatement. After pulling 100 pro tractors, it was concrete, and rough. The Mitchell trucks took a beating that night.

Kent had the perfect set up for that track, itty bitty tires that spun free. He had an awesome pull.

Scheid needed that win after all these years of being dominated by Ohio trucks.

All the Mitchell trucks were set up to hook and dig, including mine. 100% wrong setup for that night. Mitchell had a bad case of the hops, and never could get the power to the ground--Friday night.

I threw off 600 pounds of weight, dropped a gear, babied it, and STILL broke! The FREAKS from chat watched my truck for the night, until I came back with a trailer, Thanks guys! (I could have swore I had TWO turbos when I left... ... )

Saturday night, most of the Mitchell trucks were repaired, and pulling again.

The new Sled Pulling King title HAS to go to Larry Crawford. Third place Friday, behind a Cheating drug running Ford, and Dale Factors truck piloted by Smoking Dave, and TWO FIRST places on Saturday!

What was funny, is he blew out one of his good BFGs, and had to put a set of little diggers on. He smoked everybody, then nailed the 8000 dually class with the same set up! Keep in mind he is a short bed quad cab. Mitchell clutched of course.

The open class, most all the trucks that broke the night before, broke the same parts. Dave Gresh had an awesome pull at 325. Then Dave Mitchell came up, and blew out the gate as hard as I have ever seen him pull. 340+. This was the first time I saw him come out of the hole wide open. No mercy, just mash and dump. Good Grief! He also blew parts at the end, and broke the sled, but you will have that at about 1000 horsepower.

I have already heard the rumors about his clutch not being tough enough. (They started right at the track) You know, it isn't. Not anymore, not for Dave. Many, many pulls and a few years on that clutch it was bound to fail. I am not so sure that the input shaft or the bell housing did not let go first, hard to say.

It is sad when other vendors have to IMMEDIATELY bash Dave's product trying to sell theirs. Those vendors have no idea what we are dealing with here, they are back at 600 hp range, still have trouble beating Mitchell street trucks, and some of them just watch from far away... ...

I am still not concerned with my clutch coming apart. I have a 500 horse safety margin, and about 300 hooks!!! I thank Dave for testing his parts harder than any other vendor could possibly imagine.

Bad things about Scheids:

The HEAT.

Pulling the trucks after the tractors. Bad track and too late!

KIDS powerbraking and blowing up and down the streets at the event, inside the fairgrounds. You guys know who you are.

Friday and Saturday. Sunday would work much better.

Heaven Bound Sled is ... ... . well, not the best sled around, lets put it that way.

Good things:

The Scheid crew.

Vendor alley

The Pro tractors

Seeing all my buddies again.

Letting the hottest Diesel trucks in the country(even Fuller. :)) compete in a Diesel friendly environment.

Shocking things:

Duramaxes pulling, and doing well. !!!!!
