Do you guys like to show off your letters (on your tires) and put the white lettering on the outside or do you hide it and put the white lettering facing in?

I put my white letters in. I think it makes for a cleaner look when I take the time to clean my truck up and polish the wheels and spray tire wet on the sidewalls.

IMO Raised white letter tires when out of style in the late 80's. The white letters go on the inside for me.

When I mount new tires with the white in I clean all the blue stuff off AND I paint the white letters with black interior vinyl spray dye. On cool rigs that is!!

White letters facing out. If I bought cheap tires, I'd probably hide the letters, but as was already said, display it proud!

But on my wife's car, blackwalls showing. It's a Taurus wagon, so there's no bragging what-so-ever.

Its all about the white letters out!:) Personally on a truck that is either lifted or stock height, white letters out, BFG MUD proudly displayed on the Ramcharger and Michellin LTX/MS on the diesel, but hopefully some muds in a month or so:) But if your gonna lower it, or try to make it a car, and no longer a truck, with 20's and what not, then the letters in, but then again with low profile tires you can't really get raised white outlines, can you? No flaming goin' on, just personal preference.

On mine I tried both and the black sidewall look just doesn't get it for me. I turn all my white letters out and will continue to do so if they are so equipped... ... ... . Andy

I don't do the letters out. #1 They're too often dirty. #2 You have to pay to advertise on my trucks, unless you are Cummins or TDR or Wildcat or the local bike club.

It's like leaving the car lot name on there--NO WAY.

With all that said--the white outlined letters do look better than solids. :p

So far I have yet to come across a dealership worthy of remaining on my truck. Especially after recent events with the locals around here... ... . Andy

Whit letters in I get tires of cleaning them dam things. To many curbs here to worry about also, and half the time they don't come clean no matter what you do. IMHO black walls look much better, easy to clean and don't have to worry about any scuffs.

How about... C. Don't buy white letter tires.

Only had'em on the factory set. Westley's bleach white worked wonders on'em, but it's one less thing I have to clean now.

Besides, if ya put'em to the inside people think you went to a tire store that was too stupid to know how to mount them the right way.
