:confused:whats the deal. i still have the ppf on the truck and i might drive it one day and feel a intersection full of black smoke every time i take off, some days i get little puffs of white smoke. most of the time no smoke. any body elses truck doing this

How about a signature Please?
When my truck was new it had a spell where it would belch white smoke, raw fuel then go away. Removed to battery cables for about 10 minutes and it seemed to go away. Went in and had the star scanner reset all parameters to default setting and it never came back. I think sometimes you can get a sticky injector that won't shut off enough. As far as having the filter still on it. Some seem to be looser than others. A friend of mine can get his to smoke all the time. I can't get ANY smoke at all even with no DPF at all. Go Figure.

I think you mean DPF. If the DPF is there and functioning you should not have any smoke. So at least the DPF is bad. The white smoke is unburned fuel.

it does it mostly during regen. it will start off with no smoke, then little puffs of white will come out, then lots of white which turns black and stays black untill you switch off the truck. same thing when you start it back up. it will do it with mp8 unhooked. the truck just has 52000 on it surly the dpf isn't bad.
