White smoke normal?

This morning I went to start the truck to tow my boat to storage and the white/blue smoke was terrible. Low temperature last night was about 27 and I didn't have the truck plugged in overnight. I've noticed it before, but not to this extent. I'm also not very thrilled about the acceleration while pulling the boat, only about 3500 lbs. I can't imagine pulling anything substantial. These trucks must struggle to get out of their own way! Ant ideas? Thanks.
