Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) white smoke on start up, 01 ctd

Ive noticed lately that my truck is blowing white/blue smoke when i start it up. Im not a diesel tech so Im not quite sure on what to do about this, I put a Anti-defuling Device on it but thats comming off tomorrow. Any ideas?

Mine gives a slight puff of white when I start it. Never thought twice about it.

What is the "de-fueling device"?

103600 BD race box, AFE filter, and Anti Defuling Device are the motor mods. I dont run the box very often either

sorry about that I didnt read all the way thru it, Its also known as a "boost fueler" it tells the computer that it doesnt have enough fuel so in return the comp tells the pump to put more fuel. Its a darkening combination with a box! just ask teh people behind me haha!

Do you have an auto or stick and is it clamped or elbowed? Just curious. Mike

automatic, I assume you mean the turbo. yeah its clamped
