last year I was stock, but this year I have aFe intake and 4 inch exhaust and have a lot of white smoke after start up but after warming up it goes away. It hit -6 yesterday morning and I was plugged in all night. Airdog II is heated and not geling... ... ... stock fueling and injectors. Any thoughts out there?

Pretty normal for a mechanical pump engine. Until you get some heat into the combustion cycle they will smoke.

Does it helped to jump the idle to around 1000-1200 rpms right after starting?

Normal with my '97 as well when encountering those temps in the morning.

The pick-up body will disappear in the fog some mornings until it runs for a few minutes.

Even though it has been plugged in that fuel and air are some kinda' cold.

Mike. :)

yea... ... I sit there and watch the voltmeter gauge do its dance, while keeping a big toe on the throttle... . mmmm about 1200 rpms, but have noticed the intake heater draw has been less and less noticeable on the gauge. Time to replace the intake manifold heater??

Otherwise, sounds like I'm in the normal range with the smoke... ... Thanks for the response guys!
