Hi everyone, i have been recently been getting white clounds coming out off my exhaust. It only happens when i put the pedal to the floor or sometimes when i start my truck up when its cold. When i start it when its cold its like a white and black mix smoke. My truck doesnt really blow black clounds very often. It only blows black clounds when i start it after it has been warmed up and when i pull a heavy load. Im kinda thinking it is a fuel problem but im not sure. So if you guys could give me some feedback on what you think the problem could be that would be great.

Thanks, Nick

If you have checked LP pressure, filters, etc, then its a good bet the injection pump is developing problems. The white smoke is a good indication of late injection and hats almost always the pump timing being effected.

Have you changed anything lately? Pump? Injectors?

Like cerb. says, also could be low compression. Is your truck stock? I don't see any mods in your sig. Do you drive dirt roads? You might check your intake hose to the turbo and check for dirt. Does it white smoke going down hill as the engine cools off? If it does, it could be injectors dribbling. Also if the turbo is seeping engine oil on the exhaust side, cool housing and raw oil will white smoke.

Well i change my fuel filter every time i do an oil change. I havent done any modifications except for the ones on my signnature. When i bought the truck back in june of 2007. The guy who i bought the truck from said he had a new injection pump put in the truck. I dont really drive on dirt really often, once in a blue moon i drive on a dirt road.
