I am just reading through the instructions before installing my FASS. The three pieces that thread together to form my new fuel pickup all require thread tape. I have white, yellow and pink. None of them state that they are safe for diesel.

Anyone know which color I should use to seal things up?

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Any one will be OK. White is thin and used for small fittings, the pink is thick and used for larger fittings, and yellow is for natural gas or propane, it is that color for the inspectors. All are the same compound, just different color.

Thanks Hoefler.

Since there is no difference, I let my six year old son choose. He figures pink because the FASS itself is red and pink is closest to red. Can't argue with a 6 year olds logic! Pink it is.

Thanks again.
