Attention: TDR Forum Junkies My dad bought a used 2007. 5 2500 a little over a year ago. He doesn't know much about the truck's history, but it was clearly modified by SRT (SRT stands for the Street Racing Technology division that builds the Dodge Viper from what I understand). It is painted in Dodge Viper blue everywhere (including the front and rear bumpers, grill, etc) and it has Cummins SRT-6 Turbo Diesel badges on the front and tailgate instead of the standard 2500 badges (I know people buy these badges to put on their trucks, but I think these were factory installed). When the dealer pulls up the VIN, it says that the truck has a 5. 7L Hemi, but it does not. It has the 6. 7L Cummins installed. The truck is still under warranty from Dodge and hasn't been modified from how it was sold to the best of our knowledge. There is no color code for the paint under a standard Ram 2500. It is Viper blue. Until he had to have the turbo replaced and the computer reflashed last year due to the turbo clogging up, my dad said that it would easily break the rear end loose and smoke the tires at any given point in time. I never had the pleasure of driving it before then, but now, with its new turbo and reflash, it behaves just like my '09 2500 diesel. No one seems to know anything about who built this truck or where exactly it came from including the dealer. Does anyone here happen to know anything about it?
