I got in on the GP for the Jardine system w/ 5"

Monster tip. I got it in and installed 2 weeks ago, minus

the tip. It was on back order. Got the tip finally Monday

and (1) it was scratched all over and coated with buffing compound (2) I see that it HAS to be welded on.

Did any or all of you have to weld yours on? I thought it would be complete

bolt up. They are sending me a new one, due to the scratches.

P. S. They could weld to new tail piece, but is it at the correct level and position?

Thanks for any input.

My wife gave me mine Jardine 5" tip for christmas, I hav had the exhaust system since last summer. It is a weld on type.

I just got mine. My exhaust did not come with it since they were on back order. My SS exhaust tip was well wrapped arrived safely. Jardine was willing to ship the rear section with the SS tip welded, but I figure I could do a better job of cutting and positioning the tip if I did it myself. It is very cool looking though and very well made.

I originally mounted mine with some screws, and that lasted for 20k miles. Recently I noticed it was rattling though, and almost fell off on it's own. So I ordered a 4" stainless band clamp from Walker to hold it on once I get it cleaned up.

I received my tip separate, we miscommunicated on the Group purchase. I am glad it came later as it gave me the option of where exactly to mount it. No damage or scratches, well protected. I don't know the shape of other tips, bhut mine is kinda megaphone style, tapering from 4" to 5" with a slight angle at the large end... I am happy!:D
