I am thinking about getting this muffler, but the higher rpms with the G56 have me worried about in-cab droning. I already get a little drone at 70mph with the stock muffler so I don't want to increase that at all.

Yes, and with it's final drive ratio coupled with 3. 73's, it puts your cruising revs where the NV5600 is with 4. 10's.

I do not think you'll have any drone issues. The MBRP won't resonate like Flowmasters in a Tahoe/Suburban, but due to the nature of the Cummins there will be an increase in volume from 2000-2400 depending on the truck.

I have a Banks exhaust on my truck that got real loud at those revs. I added a MBRP muffler in front of the Banks and it is now barely audible unless you floor it. At 2000-2400 it's a bit louder, but not intrusive as before.

Your truck has a catalyst, so it will be quieter than mine. I think you'll like the sound of the MBRP.

I've got the G56 and MBRP :) + my CAT fell off  . No drone hear. It gets pretty throaty when you get on it but pretty tame on the highway

I installed the MBRP “600” bolt in muffler a little over a week ago. The quality of the muffler and pipe is first rate. Seems to be better than the factory system. I do however have some droning issues. At 1100-1200 and 1800-2100 it is loud in the cab. If you are not on the throttle, it is quiet as stock. Lay into it, it is loud.

Not sure yet if I am going to leave it in, I did notice some drone at 1800-2100 with the factory system. I guess I am just getting old.

The cat is still installed in my truck.
