I don't know about the code reader part, but as the performance part, I would lean on the Banks side. I like Banks because they have complete systems for performance, and, the parts i've bought from Banks have stood up to the claims and never given any trouble.

Please fill in your sig and tell us what type of vehicle you have.

If you are looking for a Bully Dog for a 6. 7L engine I do not believe they have developed one for this size motor yet. I could be wrong but I read on a different site that Bully Dog has not released any thing yet.

Smarty will also clear and read codes along with improving your mileage just another thought.

Skip both and go with a Smarty. A Smarty Jr. will do everything that you want/need, and will do it better than the above 2.

And yes, BullyDog has programmers for the 6. 7, but theyre a joke

X2 for the Smarty Jr. Especially for your 04. None of the programmers are miracle workers. The 03 and 04 305/555 engines are the best on the road for mileage when it come to the HPCR engines. If I could force myself to drive 55 I would see 22-23 mpg max since I have a 4x4. A 305/555 two wheel drive could see as high as 25 mpg at 55. I drive 65-70 most of the time and I average right around 19. 5 mpg commuting.

What are you currently seeing for mileage?

Your other post was hilarious by the way about the calims that others have made. No way a powerstroke is getting the mpg's ppl told you. The Cummins engines have the best mileage plain and simple. I had a a combined weight of 20,300lbs when I towed my 5vr to MD from TX. I averaged 13mpg for the whole trip. A Powercroak or Undurablemax would not have gotten those numbers.
