Who is running 17s?

I am trying to narrow down my wheels choices and am looking at 17x8s in either the Eagle 589s or Classic IIs. I am also considering the 16x8s in these rims.



Does anyone have pics or comments on these?

All of the '03's have 17 " wheels. I am having a hard time finding the tire size I want for these size wheels. I have e-mailed Toyo, Nitto, Bfg and other tire manufacturers and they are all in the process of developing more sizes for this wheel size. I specifically want 305/70R17's for my truck. I was told by Nitto and Toyo that they will have this size in the first half of '04.

I just put BFG 315/70/17s on our '03 and they look good. SOmehow Discount tire mismarked them and I got them for $120 a piece



The question is more of will the 17x8 or 9 fit well on the 02 and if anyone has tried it yet. I saw pics here of someone with 102s and they looked good.

I'm running the 102s 9. 5 X 18 with 305/60/18 Nitto's, great handling on the road, track and dirt but a little hard over bumps.

I have been running Eagle alloy 17x9's for over 6 months. They are wrapped with 315/70 r17 bfg a/t's.



When I was doing my research I originally was looking for anything with a 9" width. At the time I could only find 17's in that width. since then a few companies have come out with 16's in that width as well. (WELD comes to mind)



I also looked through this board for info on Eagles VS M/T classic II's. In my search I found that the M/T's have had a number of problems with cracking. This was locate daround the lug nut holes. The eagles didn't seem to have a substantial problem with this. Hence my choice.



Overall I reallly like my 17's. Also if I ever sell my truck (unlikely) I could put them on a 3rd gen.



Any other ???'s just ask.
