OK, replacing the stock exhaust with a 4" exhaust. In doing so, I'll give the dogs the ATTACK command and allow them to take care of the CAT (If only they could get the Wife's cats while they're at it). My question is leave stock muffler, change the Muffler (like the one that comes with the JRE) or let the dogs get the Muffler Too?

Ok No Muffler = More Noise. How about EGT's?

Does No Muffler = Lower EGT's?

I guess my question is their anything postive about taking out the Muffler? Besides More Noise of Course :D :D

The stock muffler is junk.

Walker 21471 4" in and out and is around $95 at NAPA. From what I understand it is a relatively quite muffler, but I have never heard one.

Dynomax 17225 (I think) is 4" in and out and is the same design as the 21471 only smaller. It is therefore louder, but I really like the sound of it :) and it is not nearly as loud as a straight pipe IMO

Whatever you do junk the stock.

IMO I don't think no muffler vs a good free flowing straight though muffler will have any noticeable affect on EGT's

Yes the same breed, She is my little girl. The breed is a Dogue de Bordeaux, and the other one is a Rottweiler. Hence RottnDogue

:D :D :D :D :D :D

Oh Here is the Picture, and I have another one With the Rott's head in the Dogue's mouth in the Main Forum, under the title test.

While We are talking about dogs...

I have a Bully Dog system with straight through muffler and it is louder than stock, although I could stand louder.

You could try no muffler, I don't think it would be a tough job to add one later if needed.

By the way, when You let those dogs out I want to be a LONG way away!

RottnDogue, I hope I don't kick the old lady in the side while I'm having a nightmare about the Bordeaux tonight.

She is very sweet, and great with kids... ...

Thanks Bill, I'll let her know your a friend, if she makes trip to next meet. It would of been tough getting her on the Harley. :D She always wants to drive. :D
